Hello everyone.
So I bought this Chinese Lexia3 cable. it came with 2 dvds one having diagbox and one having Lexia3 and pp2000.
After a lot of sweat I managed to install diagbox in an Oracle VirtualBox VM and managed to activate it and update it.
I also managed to connect the interface , install its drivers and to read its firmware which was 4.3.0 with the interface checker.
So I happily went to connect it to my newly acquired 307 1.6 which has some Antipollution fault... and.... it cant communicate with the vehicle. I tried virtualy everything... with no luck.
I tried running with admin rights... nothing
I tried running with all ignition switch states... nothing
I even tried reinstalling Everything including the vm and diagbox, or pp2000 as stand alone.... nothing....
Although every time I see the interface connecting... and the pp also sees the interface (cause if it doesnt its quiting with a failure message)... I keep getting the message that the ecu hasnt replied.
I even tried to connect to an other 307 2.0 but still nothing
Is my interface not working? how can I test this?
The only thing I havent tried and I would if I could is to install win xp on my laptop... which I actually did... but I couldnt find the drivers for any of the laptops devices so I scraped that...
Unfortunately I dont speak danish cause I am Greek and I am new in the country.
I am currently staying at holbaek and I am looking for someone around me that has pp2000 installed to check my unit with his installation and/or have a look in my car.
Any help would be appriciated.
Thank you very much.

Maybe a stupid question, but worth considering... Did you remember to turn the key to the second point - just before ignition?

yep I certainly have. I have tried everything. with car on with car off, with ignition on with ignition on... just nothing :( ... I have also tried on different car... still nothing.
I also tried different versions of peugeot planet. so what I am thinking now... is to find someone near Kobenhavn or holbaek or roskilde that has one running to check my interface unit if it is working.

It's well known that the cable with the usb connector is of very poor quality, try using the other one (there is normally a long and a short delivered)
Or you can look here for a recipe for a home made replacement.

I dont think that there is a problem in the usb cable cause I can read the interface with the interface checker. the problem is that the ecu is not being read. after all if the cable was broken I wouldnt be able to start the pp2000 cause it requires the interface to be connected to start.
the problem is that when I select the vehicle I am getting an error saying that the communication with the vehicle was not possible.
